Obama To Visit Mass. In Support Of Patrick

President Obama is scheduled to take a swing through Massachusetts in support of Gov. Deval Patrick as part of his coast-to-coast campaign for Democratic candidates in next month's elections.

Obama is scheduled to attend a rally and fundraiser for the incumbent governor at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on Saturday.

Grammy winning singer James Taylor is scheduled to perform at the free event that's open to the public.

Obama and Patrick are longtime friends who share Chicago roots.

Patrick said in a statement that he and Obama share a commitment to job creation, education and health care.

Patrick is running against Republican Charles Baker, independent Timothy Cahill and Green-Rainbow candidate Jill Stein.
