President Obama heads to Massachusetts Saturday to campaign for Gov. Deval Patrick.

Polls show the Democratic incumbent leading in a tight race against Republican challenger Charlie Baker. Independent candidate Tim Cahill is a distant third and Green-Rainbow candidate Jill Stein trails far back in fourth place.

WBUR's Delores Handy spoke Friday with Mike Allen, chief political correspondent for Politico, to talk about Mr. Obama's Massachusetts stop and his stumping plans for Democrats across the country.
