Federal agents have searched the suburban Boston home owned by an expert on missile systems who worked for Raytheon Co., a defense contractor.
According to public records, the Melrose home is owned by Richard M. Lloyd and Lori Lloyd.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's office would not comment on the reason for the search except to say there was "no immediate threat to the community."
A spokesman for Raytheon would only say Richard Lloyd no longer works for the company.
A brief biography of Lloyd on the website of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics identified him as the one-time manager of Raytheon's Warhead Lethality Group.
The Boston Globe reported that federal investigators removed several boxes of items from the house.
