Authorities have confirmed that the mutilated body of a young man found dead on a suburban Boston street is that of a missing North Carolina teenager.
Norfolk District Attorney William Keating said in a statement Sunday that fingerprint analysis has confirmed that the body found Nov. 15 in Milton is 16-year-old Delvonte Tisdale of Charlotte, N.C.
Massachusetts state police detectives and officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County police matched the body's fingerprints with a print found on one of Tisdale's personal items.
Authorities have not released additional details on how Tisdale died or what he was doing in the Boston area. Officials had previously said the body suffered "massive trauma."
The death remains under investigation.
