Players Swarm For $355M Mega Millions Jackpot

It's up to $355 million. That's how much Tuesday night's Mega Millions Lottery jackpot is worth. It's the third largest jackpot in the game's history.

State Lottery officials expect more than 7 million tickets will be sold here and in other states before the drawing.

Brighton resident Arthur Gittleman bought eight tickets at three different stores Tuesday morning.

If he wins, "I'll have a nice great charitable foundation I'll let my son run," Gittleman said, laughing. "At least 25 percent of the money is going to do that — at least."

The lottery expects the drawing to bring in about $11 million for cities and towns in Massachusetts.
