A Coast Guard official says the body of a 12-year-old Massachusetts girl swept out to sea at New Hampshire's Hampton Beach has been found.
A Coast Guard search and rescue expert says the body of Nayelin Encarnacion, of Lawrence, Mass., was discovered on the sand at Hampton Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
The Coast Guard and New Hampshire Marine Patrol launched an intensive search and rescue mission shortly after the girl was reported missing just before 8 p.m. Monday.
Officials say Nayelin began having difficulty in the water. Her 20-year-old brother tried to rescue her, but then he began having trouble. He was rescued by others.
The water temperature was 55 degrees.
