Hundreds of thousands of people are expected on the Charles River Esplanade Monday for the annual July Fourth Boston Pops concert and fireworks show.

In addition to the usual patriotic and Broadway tunes, this year's show includes a few rock favorites. Once again there's some country music thanks to Martina McBride who stepped in just days ago as the guest star.

Barb Terris and her husband traveled from Minneapolis, Minn., to celebrate Independence Day in Boston.

“I have heard this is the best,” Terris said.

Also performing with the Pops is the U.S. Army Soldiers Chorus.

Police say there will be a number of road closures, and motorists won't be allowed to park along Interstate 93 to watch the fireworks.

This program aired on July 4, 2011.
