Following the lead of the Red Sox, President Obama and thousands of others, Massachusetts' congressional delegation has made an "It Gets Better" video.

The one-minute-long YouTube video offers hope and support to gay young people.

"I know you may feel that even the people you're closest to can't understand what you're going through," Sen. John Kerry said in the video.

"But I can tell you, you're not alone," Rep. Ed Markey continued.

"And it's true what they say, it does get better," Rep. John Tierney said.

Sen. Scott Brown is the only member of the 12-person delegation absent from the video. Brown's office did not immediately return requests for comment.

Update at 4:50 p.m.: From Colin Reed, Brown's press secretary:

Scott Brown has a strong record at the state and federal level against bullying and believes that all people regardless of sexual orientation should be treated with dignity and respect. His main focus right now is on creating jobs and getting our economy back on track.

This program aired on July 27, 2011. The audio for this program is not available.
