Reading Man's Shooting Ruled A Homicide

Authorities say the shooting death of a 22-year-old Reading man has been ruled a homicide.

Police found the body of Joseph Ronan on Monday afternoon after responding to a report of shots fired at Ronan's house.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone and Reading Police Chief James Cormier said an autopsy determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds.

Reading police and state police are investigating.

Leone and Cormier said that based on evidence gathered so far, the homicide appears to be a "non-random act."
