Dorchester Man Wins $32M In Mega Millions Lottery

A Dorchester man is now $32 million richer. The Massachusetts State Lottery says 47-year-old Candido Oliveira is claiming the jackpot after hitting all six winning numbers in the Mega Millions game last week.

Paul Sternberg, executive director of the lottery, called Oliveira's win "life-changing."

"That's what we're about, making people millionaires, and awarding money. It's a great feeling. It's a favorite part of my job as a matter of fact," Sternberg said.

The last Mega Millions jackpot win for a Massachusetts resident was back in July of 2004.
