Gambling Bill Opponents Say Crime, Commuting Being Ignored

Opponents of casino gambling in the state were quick to jump on a 155-page proposal for three casinos and a slots parlor released by a legislative committee Tuesday.

One opposition group is based in western Massachusetts and is called United to Stop Slots. The former president of that group, Kathleen Conley-Norbut, still works with the group, and joined Morning Edition Wednesday to explain the opposition's arguments to the gambling bill.
