Analysis: In GOP Debate, It's All About Romney Vs. Perry

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the former GOP presidential frontrunner, and the current frontrunner, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, will both be on stage Wednesday night with the handful of other Republican candidates at the Reagan Presidential Library in California.

It's the first of three debates for them in the next three weeks.

WBUR's political analysts, Democrat Dan Payne and Republican Todd Domke, joined Morning Edition to preview the event, and also take stock of the U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts, in light of new polls in recent days.
