Red Sox Post-Mortem: What Happened In September?

The Red Sox not only lost their must-win game against the Baltimore Orioles, but, minutes later, they also saw their last-ditch hopes for the playoffs fade away. Their wild card rivals, the Tampa Bay Rays, pulled off a remarkable win against the New York Yankees and thus deprived the Sox of a seat in the postseason.
