Grand Jury Indicts Boston Developer For Illegal Campaign Contributions

A grand jury has indicted a well known Boston developer on charges of making illegal campaign contributions to win support for a major project.

The indictment accuses Arthur Winn of using other people as conduits to funnel $150,000 in donations to federal, state and local candidates.

That happened while Winn was trying to win approval for the now-defunct Columbus Center Project over the Mass. Pike.

The listed recipients of those donations include Sen. John Kerry, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, and four Massachusetts congressmen.

This program aired on October 28, 2011. The audio for this program is not available.
