It's like a bad dream for Mitt Romney.

After months of holding a steady lead as the other Republican presidential candidates surged and crashed behind him, Romney now trails former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in all the early primary states, except for New Hampshire.

Can Romney come back? The former Massachusetts governor is pouring money into New Hampshire and Florida, but only leads Gingrich in New Hampshire.

Can Gingrich sustain his surge? A new political ad from the former speaker is reminiscent of President Reagan's "Morning in America" TV advertisement.

This program aired on December 7, 2011.
