Celtics Set To Kickoff Shortened Season

It's been a long time coming but on Sunday the NBA is back after a month-
long lock out due to contentious contract talks between NBA owners and players.

The Celtics start the season at noon Sunday with a game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

The upcoming season will be short and jam-packed, pushing over 60 games into just a few months.

Gary Washburn, who covers the Celtics for The Boston Globe, joined Morning Edition Friday to talk about the upcoming season.
