Senate Hopeful Warren Raises $5.7M Over 3 Months

Massachusetts Democratic Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren has reported an impressive fundraising haul for the last three months of 2011.

In a release Wednesday, her campaign says it raised $5.7 million in last year's fourth quarter. The campaign says the haul included contributions from approximately 23,000 Massachusetts residents.

“With Wall Street lining up against this campaign, already contributing millions and willing to pay any price to try to stop our work, it’s going to take a strong, grassroots effort like this to win," Warren said in a statement.

On Monday, Sen. Scott Brown reported raising $3.2 million over the last three months of 2011.

The Republican has $12.8 million cash on hand. Warren reports a war chest of more than $6 million.
