Harvard Cited In Primate Death

Harvard University has been cited in the death of an animal at the New England Primate Research Center.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued five citations against Harvard for the death of a primate in October, putting too many animals in one cage and signs that animals were distressed.

But the federal investigator says Harvard has taken the appropriate steps to address the problems.

In 2010, the USDA cited Harvard for another primate death.
