For Family Of BC Student, No End To The Waiting

The parents of missing Boston College student Franco Garcia say they're keeping alive hope that their son still will come home.

Police said Thursday that they have no new leads in the Feb. 22 disappearance of the 21-year-old chemistry major. But they will resume an underwater search of a reservoir near the campus Friday morning.

Thursday night there will be a church service on campus for the student. On Friday, a civilian dog handler is coming from Maine to volunteer with the use of a bloodhound.

A private investigator also has joined the probe on behalf of the student's family.

Relatives plan to hold a vigil Friday evening in the Cleveland Circle area where friends last saw Garcia.
