Sen. Brown Faults Conference On Israeli Conflict

U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is calling on Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government to cancel a student-led conference on the possibility of a "one-state solution" to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The conference, scheduled for this weekend, is organized by student groups.

Brown said the conference encourages "dangerous thinking that gives comfort to Israel's enemies who view the 'one-state solution' as a euphemism for eliminating Israel as a Jewish state."

Brown's said he supports a two-state solution.

Brown's chief Democratic rival Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard law professor, also said she backs a two-state solution and is a "strong supporter of the steadfast relationship between Israel and the United States."

On its website the Kennedy School said the students alone are responsible for the content of the conference, which does not reflect the views of the school.

This program aired on March 2, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
