Brown Leads Warren In Latest Senate Poll

The latest poll of the Massachusetts Senate race shows Sen. Scott Brown with an eight-point lead over Democratic front-runner Elizabeth Warren.

Western New England University Polling Institute Director Tim Vercellotti says Brown is gaining support among Democrats, while maintaining his advantage among Republicans and independents.

"If Elizabeth Warren wants to close the gap, she's gotta make some inroads not with just independents but with her base as well," Vercellotti said.

Brown received 49 percent support among the registered voters surveyed, compared with 41 percent for Warren. Ten percent were undecided.

Thirty-one percent of voters who expressed a preference for a candidate said they might change their minds before the November election.
