Back Bay Bars Get A St. Patrick's Day Boost

The line was down the block at Sola's Irish Pub on Boylston Street, where patrons waited as long as a half an hour just to get in.

"Monday we'd have like four kegs of Guinness coming in and today we have like, 17," said Kaylee Platt, manager of Sola's.

Platt adds that the power outage also affected deliveries and reports.

Brian Peters, the general manager at the Pour House, echoed that sentiment.

"The power went out last night too from 3 a.m. to 6, so all the numbers are all jumbled up and it's just a real challenge to organize everything and get it back to normal," Peters said.

Still, both bars say they're ready for the rest of the St. Patrick's Day rush.
