Poll: Mass. Senate Race Is Close

Sen. Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren are neck and neck, according to a new poll.

A new University of New Hampshire poll conducted for the Boston Globe has the Republican senator and his likely opponent locked in a statistical dead heat, with Brown claiming 37 percent of the vote and Warren claiming 35 percent. Twenty-six percent say they are undecided.

This amounts to a tie, as the telephone poll of 544 likely voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 percentage points.

According to the survey, both candidates remain popular, and are successfully conveying their core political messages while fending off attacks from their rival.

This program aired on April 1, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
