Mass. Court Hears Entwistle Appeal

Lawyers for a British man convicted of killing his wife and infant daughter in there suburban home are asking the state's highest court to throw out the evidence used against him.

Lawyers for Neil Entwistle on Friday asked the Supreme Judicial Court to decide whether police had the right to search the Entwistles' rented home in Hopkinton after they received worried calls from family and friends.

Police found the bodies of Rachel Entwistle and 9-month-old Lillian Rose in bed.

Prosecutors say police were justified to search the home after Entwistle's mother-in-law and friends had been unable to reach his wife.

Rachel Entwistle grew up in Kingston. She and her husband met in college in England.
