Shooting In Roxbury Leaves 1 Dead

BOSTON — A man is dead after an afternoon shooting in Roxbury yesterday, Boston Police say.

Shortly after 4 p.m., police say they responded to a report of a person shot at 67 Blue Hill Ave. At the scene, officers found two people shot inside a vehicle — a man believed to be in his 30s and a female victim.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was soon pronounced deceased at Boston Medical Center. The woman was treated for what was described as a non-life threatening injury.

The slaying is Boston's 10th of the year, and it's the fourth of 2012 in the Roxbury neighborhood.
