Property On Nantucket Is Listed For $59M

It could potentially set a record for the most expensive residential real estate transaction in Massachusetts history, according to the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror.

Swain's Neck, a 68-acre property along the island's Polpis Harbor, was placed on the market this week for $59 million.

The Inquirer and Mirror reports that the property, with nearly three-quarters of a mile of waterfront, "is among the largest remaining privately-owned Nantucket properties not dedicated to conservation or commercial purposes."

The property, according to its Sotheby's listing, includes a nine-bedroom house, a guest cottage, a boathouse and "several fenced-in pastures."
