Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing In Burlington Home

Massachusetts authorities arrested a man Friday in the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend in Burlington.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said Christopher Piantedosi, 39, turned himself in to state police after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Piantedosi's girlfriend, Kristen Pulisciano, 38, was pronounced dead Thursday night after police responded to her Burlington home on a report of a stabbing.

The prosecutor said Pulisciano was stabbed multiple times. He said a 15-year-old girl, who authorities have been told is the daughter of Piantedosi and Pulisciano, was home at the time of the stabbing and called 911.

Authorities said Piantedosi is known to police. Last year, he was dubbed the "remorseful robber" after he returned cash and a GPS he had taken from a woman at a New Hampshire grocery store, authorities said.

Leone said Piantedosi had a long-term relationship with Pulisciano until recently. Piantedosi was not living in the home at the time of Pulisciano's slaying.

"This killing was the result of a very angry rage," Leone said.

Piantedosi is to be arraigned Monday in Woburn District Court on one count of murder.
