The election is five months away but that isn't stopping the political battles from heating up across Massachusetts.

In the U.S. Senate race, a possible primary battle between Democratic candidates Elizabeth Warren and Marisa DeFranco is stirring up concern within the Democratic party.

And questions continue to swirl around whether Warren deliberately misrepresented her Native American ancestry to Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania.

WBUR's political team, Republican political analyst Todd Domke and Democratic analyst Dan Payne, joined Morning Edition to discuss these issues and more.
