Elizabeth Warren is the Massachusetts Democratic Party's outright nominee in the U.S. Senate race against incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown. At the Democrats' annual convention in Springfield Saturday, almost 96 percent of delegates endorsed Elizabeth Warren.

The Harvard Law professor and consumer advocate said she's prepared to stand her ground:

Are you ready? Are you ready to take on Wall Street? Are you ready to take on Big Oil? Are you ready to stop the Republicans from taking over the United States Senate? Are you ready to tell Scott Brown to put on his $675 barn coat and go home?

WBUR's Lynn Jolicoeur was at the event and joined us with the details.

This program aired on June 2, 2012.
