'Youk' Traded To White Sox In Exchange For Stewart, Lillibridge

Red Sox Nation is bidding farewell to a player many came to know simply as "Youk." The team has traded third baseman Kevin Youkilis to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for pitcher Zach Stewart and utility man Brent Lillibridge.

Part of both World Series championship teams in the past decade, Youkilis was a longtime fan favorite in Boston. But nagging injuries and the strong performance of rookie third baseman Will Middlebrooks made Youk expendable.
