One person is dead after being hit by a commuter rail train Monday morning in Lynn.
An MBTA spokesman says the trespassing man was struck at about 6 a.m. Monday on the Rockport/Newburyport line by an inbound train about a quarter mile before the Lynn station.
The man's name has not been made public.
MBTA Transit Police say passengers were taken off the train at the Lynn station and transferred to shuttle buses.
Long delays are expected Monday morning on the commuter rail line. Commuters are being told to make other arrangements.
