100 Arrested At Gillette Country Music Show

Police say more than 100 people were arrested and nearly 500 were taken into protective custody at a country music festival at Gillette Stadium over the weekend.

Foxborough police say most of the 101 arrests Friday and Saturday night were for being a minor in possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, trespassing, assault and battery, and assault and battery on a police officer. One person was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and another was arrested for drug possession.

Those arrested ranged in age from teenagers to people in their 50s.

The two-day event drew more than 110,000 fans was headlined by country singers Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

Police have said they are trying to crack down on drinking and rowdiness at events at the stadium.
