With their nominating conventions both over, Mitt Romney and President Obama headed to New Hampshire to sell voters on why they should win in November. Despite having just four electoral votes, the toss-up state continues to be one of the key stops on the campaign trail.

President Obama spoke in Portsmouth Friday afternoon and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney was set to campaign in Nashua Friday evening.

WBUR's Curt Nickish was in Portsmouth and joined All Things Considered host Steve Brown to discuss what the candidates are doing to try and win over Granite State voters.

This program aired on September 7, 2012.
