Following 4 Robberies, BU Offers $10K Reward For Information
ResumeFollowing four armed robberies on or near campus in the past three weeks, Boston University announced Wednesday it is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of one or more of the perpetrators.
"While the police are doing an excellent job, it became clear to us that it was time for the institution to enhance its support of the investigation," Peter Fiedler, vice president of administrative services for BU, told BU Today.
Additionally, Brookline Police on Wednesday released new video that shows three young men who may have been involved in some of the four armed robberies.
Brookline Police Chief Dan O'Leary said he's been visiting public and private schools in the area to try to identify the suspects, one of which is seen wearing a red sweatshirt and new Air Jordan sneakers.
"A lot of work has been done up to this point, and we hope that today with the release of this video it will take us a step further and make us move that much closer to closing this investigation," O'Leary said.
