Sturtevant Joins Davis Museum Leadership

WELLESLEY, Mass. — David Sturtevant will be begin overseeing “collections care and management, finance, security, and daily building operations” at Wellesley College’s Davis Museum on Nov. 5, the Wellesley school announced.

The Davis’s new associate director of Operations and Collections Management resides in West Roxbury. Sturtevant was previously head of digital imaging and visual resources at the Harvard Art Museums, manager of installation and planning at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, and head of collections information and access at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Also, “he continues to teach painting classes and actively exhibits his own urban landscape paintings.”
