Volunteers Search Beaches For Missing Mass. Girl

Volunteers and trained dogs have searched beaches in Rockport and Gloucester for any new traces of a missing toddler after remnants of pants that might have been hers washed onshore.

The search Wednesday found no more clues to the April disappearance of 2-year-old Caleigh Harrison of Gloucester. She's believed to have drowned on a beach outing with her mother and sister. Tattered pink capris similar to hers washed up last week with some lobster gear after recent ocean storms.

The search included Gloucester's Good Harbor Beach, where the pants were found, and nearby Long Beach in Rockport, where Caleigh disappeared, as well as nearby marshes.

Caleigh's parents told reporters at the scene they're hoping learn what happened to her and put their daughter to rest.

Caleigh disappeared when her mother turned away to retrieve a ball.
