An Andover man is due in court to face drug trafficking charges after police say they found 105 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Jose Martinez is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Lawrence District Court.

Police say the 51-year-old Martinez's SUV was pulled over on Interstate 495 north at about 1 p.m. Friday. The arrest was the result of a three-month long investigation.

State police say they seized 105 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $4.5 million.

Police called it one of the largest drug seizures in recent history.

Martinez was held over the weekend and it was not clear if he had a lawyer.
