Mayors Against Illegal Guns To Grade Congress

The group Mayors Against Illegal Guns says it will be grading members of Congress.

The coalition said Tuesday that it will issue a scorecard assigning letter grades for gun policy records.

One of its co-chairs, New York City's Michael Bloomberg, says the group wants to make sure its 900 bipartisan mayors have their voices "heard loud and clear."

The other, Boston's Thomas M. Menino, says the group will be closely monitoring votes on what he calls "sensible reforms."

Mayors Against Illegal Guns said a letter about its scorecard was being sent Tuesday to all members of Congress.

This program aired on April 9, 2013. The audio for this program is not available.
