(Even More) Beards Take Over Fenway Park

If you've been paying any attention to the Red Sox this year, you know all about the "hirsute pennant pursuit," as The New York Times recently termed the first-place team's collective facial hair growth this year. (Not familiar? Here's a handy graphic.)

Well, the beard craze escalated on Wednesday.

It's Dollar Beard Night at Fenway Park. If you showed up there with a real beard, a painted-on beard or wearing a fake beard, you could have gotten tickets for $1 (until they sold out).

Predictably, the ticket booth lines were long with hairy faces both real and fake. Our Nate Goldman (and his beard) went down to Fenway and brought back these photos:
