There's no downtime for the finalists in Boston's mayoral race.

The day after state Rep. Marty Walsh and Boston City Councilor John Connolly defeated 10 other candidates to advance to the general election, both were juggling campaigning and their day jobs.

Walsh voted Wednesday in the Mass. House to repeal the so-called "tech tax." The repeal passed and moves onto the Senate Thursday.

And Connolly joined other city councilors to approve a plan to hold an East Boston-only vote on the proposed Suffolk Downs casino.

We spoke with Walsh Wednesday, and Connolly joined us Thursday to discuss the next steps in his campaign.

This program aired on September 26, 2013.
