Schilling Selling Personal Items At Estate Sale

Former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling sold off items from his Massachusetts home, from things as mundane as fake plants and DVDs to specialty items such as a Hummer golf cart.

An estate sale company held the sell-off at Schilling's seven-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot Medfield home all day Saturday.

Rhode Island's economic development agency is suing Schilling over the collapse of the video game company he founded. The agency approved a $75 million loan guarantee for 38 Studios, which later went bankrupt. Schilling has said he lost all his baseball earnings in the company.

His wife, Shonda, has said on Facebook she decided to hold the sale not because they need the money but because they're downsizing as their children get older.

The Schillings' home is also for sale.
