2 Rescued When 65-Foot Boat Sinks Near Boston

The Coast Guard says two fishermen were rescued when their commercial fishing boat took on water and sank off the coast northeast of Boston.

The Coast Guard says the 65-foot "Terra Nova" began taking on water about 8:30 p.m. Friday with the two crewmembers on board. The men reported 6 feet of water in the forward cabin and said the pumps weren't able to keep up with the flooding. They anchored the vessel and abandoned ship, which sank about two hours later near Cape Ann.

A Coast Guard helicopter located the two men in the water and they were rescued and taken to hospitals. Their conditions were not known.
