NRC Chairman Tours New England Nuclear Plants

The chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission visited the Pilgrim nuclear power plant in Plymouth Friday morning.

It's part of Allison MacFarlane's tour of the region's nuclear facilities. She surveyed the Seabrook nuclear plant in New Hampshire Thursday. Both the Pilgrim and Seabrook plants have come under scrutiny recently.

WBUR's Morning Edition spoke with MacFarlane about what she has seen so far and what she's looking for in Plymouth.
