Amesbury Mayoral Recount Has Challenger Winning

A recount in Amesbury's mayoral election has confirmed the original result.

The recount held Thursday found that challenger Ken Gray beat four-term incumbent Thatcher Kezer by three votes.

The first count after the Nov. 5 election had Gray winning by two votes.

Kezer, who requested the recount, tells The Daily News of Newburyport he's still not ready to concede.

He says he will sit down with legal advisers to determine whether or not to challenge a handful of contested ballots in court.

Gray says he "couldn't be more pleased."
