Authorities say they found between $700,000 and $1 million worth of pot in a house in Boston after a fire.

Police said firefighters found 150 marijuana plants in the basement and second floor of the house after the blaze late Friday.

Boston Police Drug Control Commander Robert Merner tells NECN that the house contained one of the largest marijuana growing operations he's come across in Boston.

Police also found irrigation, heating and light systems in the house.

The cause remained under investigation Saturday.
