This article is more than 6 years old.

Authorities say a 25-year-old Scituate man has been indicted on child rape charges for allegedly having sex with three girls he met online, in at least one case posing as an 18-year-old high school student.

Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz announced Tuesday that Daniel J. Reilly was indicted on nearly 50 counts, including aggravated child rape and possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors say Reilly met four 14- and 15-year-old girls on social media websites and had sex with three of them last year.

Prosecutors say state police searched Reilly's iPhone and computer and found 12 graphic files and 10 movie files depicting child pornography.

Reilly is being held on $15,000 bail pending arraignment in Brockton Superior Court on Feb. 7.

It could not immediately be determined who his lawyer is.
