State Secretary William Galvin said the papers can be obtained at his elections division office in Boston and at regional offices in Fall River and Springfield.

Offices to be filled at this year's election include: U.S. senator, U.S. representative, governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of the commonwealth, attorney general, treasurer, and auditor.

Other offices include governor's councilor, state senator, state representative, county commissioner, district attorney, county treasurer and register of probate.

Party candidates for federal and statewide offices have until May 6 to submit their papers with local town clerks. Non-party candidates for federal and statewide office have until July 29.

The state party primaries will be held Sept. 9. The state election is Nov. 4.
