For the first time in a generation, Boston has a new mayor. In addition to our in-depth political coverage, WBUR explored the race to replace Mayor Thomas Menino through the eyes of the residents who live and work in Boston.

During the two months leading up to the election, we sent reporters to nine Boston neighborhoods to investigate the changes they saw during Mayor Menino's 20-year reign — and to ask residents what changes they want to see under the next mayor. Beyond covering the election, this series gave rare insight into the diverse and ever-changing squares of Boston.
