“I wish I was closer to my parents. I go home, go into my room, lock the door, take a nap and just stay there. I wish I could spend more time with them. I wish we could do more things together. We go out for my birthday, but that’s about it. We don’t talk much.”
“What stops you from doing it?”
“I’m not sure. We sort of grew apart as I got older. They know I like to take a nap or talk on my phone, so they leave me alone. I have friends who hang out with their parents all the time. I wish I was more like that.”
“Do you also wish you could talk to them about your problems and tell them when you’re sad?”
“No, I have my boyfriend for that. I just wish I could go into the living room and sit next to them on the couch.”
