West Roxbury Man, 33, Pleads Not Guilty To Father's Murder

A West Roxbury man was ordered held without bail Monday on charges he murdered his father, who was found dead inside his home Friday.

A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of 33-year-old Mark Regan in West Roxbury Municipal Court Monday afternoon. Regan is accused of fatally shooting his 66-year-old father, also named Mark Regan, inside the home the two shared on Perham Street in West Roxbury.

According to the Suffolk County district attorney's office, Boston Police officers found the elder Regan dead inside his home after showing up to conduct a well-being check Friday morning.

Police then found the suspect hiding in the building's attic, where they also found a handgun that was "consistent with the weapon believed to have killed" his father.
